What You’ll Do 

We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in managing social media accounts, developing content, and analyzing performance metrics. The ideal candidate is passionate about the opportunity for social media when growing a brand organically, knows how to identify value for the audience, is on top of trends, has a knack for storytelling & community building, and is eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities 
  • Content Creation & Scheduling:
    • Create, edit, and publish engaging content (text, images, videos) for various social media platforms, including TT & Instagram.
    • Experiment on non-traditional platforms
    • Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and alignment with brand goals. 
  • Community Engagement:
    • Monitor social media accounts for comments, messages, and mentions, and engage with followers in a timely and authentic manner.
    • Participate in growing the community by initiating conversations and building relationships with influencers and followers.
  • Analytics & Reporting:
    • Track and report on key performance metrics (engagement, reach, impressions, click-through rates) using tools like Google Analytics.
    • Provide insights and suggestions to improve content performance and audience engagement.
  • Audience Research:
    • Stay updated on social media trends, tools, and best practices, and share recommendations for new opportunities to innovate and enhance the brand's online presence by knowing the audience deeply. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work with product & design teams to align social media efforts with broader company goals.
    • Support team initiatives, including campaigns, events, and partnerships.
Who You Are 
  • Current enrollment/or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s program in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of major social media platforms & administration of those platforms. 
  • Has personal projects to illustrate the ability to build community either online or IRL. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for design.
  • Basic knowledge of photo editing tools (e.g., Canva) and video editing software is a plus.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Passion for storytelling and building online communities.

Job Details & Work Environment
  • Ideally looking for a graduate intern, but open to current students.  
  • This is a remote position requiring a minimum of 10 hours per week and a maximum of 20 hours per week.
  • Pay is $15/hr.
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate your schedule but must commit to a set posting schedule. 
  • You will need to use your own laptop and phone.
